Cinema’s wisdom from Martyr Avini’s stance - 3

‘Chronicles of Victory’ director’s account of cinema.

A martyred director, Seyyed Morteza Avini’s name is reminiscent of honesty, perseverance and conscientiousness. ifilm brings you what this highly praised martyr shared with the Iranian nation, of his brilliant ideas and doctrine, in a few installments.

In this part, we’re going to continue to briefly explore the martyr’s biography and his early film career, as his official website puts it.

The honorable martyr, throughout his fruitful life, directed and produced hundreds of documentary films, including Khozestan's flood, the wedge of Martyrdom Jihad, Far away from the beloved, the Forgotten land of Beshagerd and Chronicles of Victory (the latter in 70 episodes), just to name a few.

He worked for the Artistic Center since 1980 (beginning of the war), till the war ended in 1988. Simultaneously, he was the editor in chief of Sura, a magazine on religion and freedom-seeking themes, as well as the affiliated press.

With his book “The Magic Mirror”, he revealed his talent for cinema work, while his viewpoints were praised in relevant areas.

Once receiving the supreme leader’s decree, Avini kicked off the production of the Chronicles of Victory in 1992.
